Well. Not exactly what I meant. lol. I meant if you had access to recordings I would host them. I'll look into trying to record them as I stream it though. I'm on a 3 megabit cable line so it shouldn't be choppy unless the radio station is slow. I'll see what I can do, I have nothing else to do right now

Anyone know of a way to do this? I'll hit Google.

Edit: Ahh! It looks like Cool Edit can record streaming audio. I'll test tonight and record tomorrow if I can figure it out.

I got it all worked out. Assuming I have enough hard drive space I can record it for you. How long is the set?

For those of you who run Windows and want to record as well:
You can do it using the same recording software you might use to record clips for the Strictly threads such as Audacity.

-First double click the speaker icon in your system tray (by the clock).
-Go to Options>Properties and click the "Recording" radio button.
-Select "Stereo Mix" or "What U Hear" or something like that (it can be different depending on your sound card).
-Click OK and click the "Select" radio button underneath the "Stereo Mix" or "What U Hear" volume slider.
-Play the streaming audio from KPOO (tee-hee)
-Hit record in your recording software.

Once the band is finished, save as MP3, Ogg, or whatever file format you want.

Note: This will use a significant amount of hard drive space until after you've saved as a compressed audio file. Make sure you don't save the project (unless you want to edit it later) or it will continue to sit on your hard drive taking up space.

    Questions? Let me know.

    No Pressure!

How long will the set be? That is a good question.

I was told that the length will depend on how good we sound. Live broadcasts like this usually sound bad. We will be completely acoustic and using two large Condensor mics to pic up the whole band, (Like in the old days). If we sound bad, or anybody complains that the sound is to good, then the live music will be over, just like that. (That's show biz)

Anyway, my thumb feels real good this morning and i remember what we did last time and will adjust the mics to give us a better sound than last time. Hope we can play at least half an hour. Hope so.

I don't know why, but the audio stream has been lagging for me. I have a 3 megabit cable connection and no other programs running except MSN Messenger and I have all it's crap disabled. So I may not be able to record unless it stops lagging.

If anyone else can record that would be great.

Excellent job Rudy! You were right about the two mic setup though, it didn't really capture everything the way it needed to, but it wasn't bad. Unfortunately, the broadcast was breaking up terribly for me. I could hear some parts very well, and then there would just be silence for a while.

I guess next time I'm in Berkley I'll have to go to the Havana Lounge???
(That's about as much as I think I understood from the interview portion. )

Excelent Rudy. Enjoyed listening. A little troublesome streaming all the way to Norway, but I got the most of it.

I think we all had the same trouble!

Great chatting with the guys who could make it to the MSN session!
(really, I'm right about the English beer, its' bad for you trust me)

We all gave a big e-cheer when Rudy said a big thanks to his buddies here at the IBM forums live from San Francisco!

That was cool and we're glad to lend our support!!

Los Boleros, a tight band, some great tres work, tasty soloing Rudy and despite the microphone problems, the sound, particularly in the final Buena Vista track was spot on!!

Thanks to Rudy and Los B, thoroughly enjoyed!!

Shame you cant come over on Tuesday for Dazs gig, we've got a little team heading off that way, but no streaming!

Hey Rudy! You kicked major A###!!!

I had some lag too but I got a lot of it recorded. I've alreaduy edited out some of the silence (lag) and made an mp3 at 64kbps, which still weighs in at over 6 megs.

I can throw it up on my site with links to it if you want Rudy. Right now.
