looking for celtic style acoustic flat picking

Does anyone know any good songs or guitarists who do acoustic celtic flatpicking and/or fiddle jigs? A good exammple of what I am looking for is the song Jerusalem Ridge by Tony Rice. A lot of bluegrass instrumental stuff is really cool but I can honestly sau that once most of those guys open their mouthes, I lose all interest.

Also, I am looking for some guitarists who do celtic fingerstyle really well....anyone know anyone?

    Hey there

I had a look around for what you are looking for and found little, but, I have searched for a collection of celtic & Irish style books if your interested in browsing through. Im not familiar with names of guitarists for this style so I hope this helps, Ill keep looking and see what else I can find for you.

Adrian Legg - awesome Irish/Celtic based music, lots of classical influence with some bluegrass in him

Check out http://www.alltabs.com/bluegrass_tabs.php they have a celtic tabs section too, It lists the song name, author and has a midi there also. Thats how I got to like Tony Rice, I love his style

Try Liza and Martin Carthy as well, some top class guitar and fiddle playing very traditional English Folk stuff.

    http://www.phish.net/rml/

    click on the bluegrass tab.

Check it out if you feel like it, certain taste in music here that may or may not suit you.
