OK, Ill try to get the stream going on Sunday. As I said, there is a limit to how many people can connect to it ( unfortunately ), and even though I wouldnt mind paying a couple of bucks for some stream-space somewhere, would be tough to maintain it and it would prolly not be set up before the Jemfest.
So for now, I am gonna do a "lobudget stream" again. Ill compile a setlist which will mainly consist of tunes by former and future JF-artists, but Id also like to play some tunes by people like Shaun Baxter, Buckethead, Paul Gilbert, Thomas Blug etc.
If you have requests, lemme know. Theoretically, I can stream the whole playlist a couple of times ( doesnt need to be watched ) and add tunes while its running.
I am sorry I cant offer a lot of bandwidth so many people can listen, but maybe the ones interested can log in and listen for a while. Might last 2-3 hours.
Ill post an announcement with a URL once its up.
    Eric

PS: This was originally part of the Jemfest thread. I split it to get more attention to the stream ( test ).

    Hey guys,

I am currently testing the setup for the stream... whoever sees this and wants to check out some music, please click this link:

    http://217.225.32.52:8000/listen.pls

Or even better, open your winamp, and then open the Menu... expand "Play", choose "URL", then copy / paste the adress above into the window. Please post to tell me whether its working for you correctly.
    Thanks
    Eric

Of course the title "Ibreathe radio" might be confusing, since this is not a project officially supported by ibreathemusic.com
Its something I like to do, and in the setlist, youll see both some of the artists who have or will be performing at Jemfest ( thats why I chose to resurrect this whole idea ) and people who have contributed to ibreathe ( Thorsten, Steve Morse, Jon Finn, Ricky, myself.. )
The rest are songs that I like listening to, players I think deserve more attention than they get ( Househoulder, Uhrich... ) and stuff I wanted to share.
I can monitor the stream activity, so I see that some have logged on ( currently 2 ppl listening ). Hope youll like it. I guess its working then ( thats why I posted... needed some testing )

    Nice!

This is really a cool way for me to listen to some new stuff!

Keep up the extremely good work!

EDIT: Seems to lag a bit though :/ needs to buffer up every 3 seconds. Maybe because of the geographical distance? How many using it now?

    Thanks.
I wish I had more bandwidth, but a dedicated server or a high-bandwidth streaming service costs money, so for now, Ill keep running it from my own PC ( which means a severe limit to how many users can listen )
Glad you like it. Lemme know if you have requests ( i.e. for Sunday )

I don't know really. Some Jeff Beck perhaps? Haven't had the chance to hear much. How about John McLaughlin?

Edit: Just an idea - combining the radio with the chatroom Get to talk about the music in realtime! I'm in the chatroom now btw

Jeff Beck... added the "mother of all instrumental guitar ballads", "Cause Weve Ended As Lovers", coming up in a couple of minutes.
Again, sorry for connection probs and lag... I have DSL but again, theres a limit to how many users can connect. I switched off most net activities of the programs on my computer for now, so no bandwidth will be eaten up by those. Still, its limited.
    Thanks for checking it out

hei there eric. nice to see ya postin again.

what about some metal? i'm not asking EXTREME metal stuff but what about some Metallica instrumentals? they've got some good guitar playing on'em.
In Flames is a band that also has got excelent melodic sense. they've got amazing guitar playing and are extremely versatile.
in a more "gentle" note, some satch, hendrix, friedman, becker would be some awesome additions to the playlist.

    see y'all next time.
To see into my eyes, you'll find where murder lies!

Excellent idea. Kind of like a musicians' radio station. I've never heard of some of these songs but they're awesome. I like it. Thanks.

Eric, I especially enjoyed hearing some of your songs (and Thorsten) in addition to the other more well known songs. Maybe you could get Guni and a few of the other ibreathemusic authors to contribute some original songs of their own.
