Hey , no fair , that Riff was lifted off a Cacophony Album.
Well, I said so in the post, didnīt I ?
Eric
hey eric, what speed is the concerto lick actually in?
ABout 190 bpm for the dotted quarter note ( 12/8 time signature ), the lick is played in 8th notes. Actually, some of the rhythms in my transcription of this lick arenīt completely correct.
AFAIK, thereīs a powertab of it somewhere out there which was pretty good... check www.powertabs.net
Eric
Okay , that's a cool Paganinni Riff, Thanks Eric.
Here's some George Lynch Riffing , dedicated to... this Forum

Hey Phantom ,
That was pritty wild , it would be great if that riff cycled up the fret board , into a REALLY long Riff.
This is based on a pattern / shape / lick I heard Jason Becker do once... itīs some rather awkward left hand pattern, kinda like drawing triangles onto the fretboard...
I took that pattern and moved it up a scale... good exercise, you might consider it an etude.
Eric
Dunno whether I have posted this before at one of the other LRNR-threads, so here goes:
This is a string-skipping lick which is pretty much the same thing I play at the very beginning of the "Riders High" solo... in measure 2, tapped notes are added...
Hope youīll like it
Eric
Finally, an excerpt from my newest tune, "Angel".
This is one overdub in the solo-section... harmoinized sweeping.
One guitarīs playing a G major arp, and then a C maj arp ( triad arps, with the top note being tapped ), while the other guitar plays a harmony...
I tried not to double too accurately, cuz it rather widens ( fattens up ) the sound if the two guitars are played slightly different...
Hope you dig that one... lemme know if you want a TAB.
Eric
hey spin, go ahead!the coolest thing with symmetrics is that you can cycle until u drop dead

hey spin, if you like flashy stuff i'd like to know what you think about this http://www.chopsfromhell.com/guest_stichter2.html ?
i'd post the pt file but i deleted it somehow.![]()
the tab looks more horrifying than it really is.
The description , sounds familiar to me,being as i call my own style of Metal, "Guitar Barf" , or" Science Fiction- Metal" when i'm writing with a "Meshugga" or "Fear Factory" influence.
The idea is to only use Locrian , Dim7, harmonic minor, and any sick Atonal pattern
This one seems to be a Tapped chromatic type pattern , i'm sure it sounds like, a computer Barfing out Data.
I'll have to try that .
