Hi, welcome to the forum.
Yep, this is a very nice sensible place for ideas and discussion on music theory, applications, technique, and playing in general ... it's mainly guitar oriented, but only because there are so many people interested in guitar, and we do try to encourage others to get involved eg classical violinists or whoever (but it seems there are far less of those).
