    Rock School

    Hi all,

I don't have a guitar teacher at the minute, and dont really have the time I would like to play the guitar (therefore not making the best use out of a techer). But I would like to get some indication of skill level and have a something to achieve when playing guitar:

Has anybody had any exposure to the Rockschool exams from Trinity in the UK?

    - Are they a good measure of skill
    - Is the material any good
    - How do they compare with other exams.

I do have some of the Rockschool programs from the 80s tv show on DVD somewhere.

    Deirdre Cartwrights funk chops anyone?

Russ: I remember that series well... You can actually get them on DVD? (now theres an amazon wishlist item)

Some trivia; the drummer, Jeff, was a friend of mines next door neighbour in the early 90's in dodgy, but pre-regular shootings, Harlesden. Also, for me, at the time, it was better in series 2 when they added the keyboard player - I would probably differ now.
