I'm trusting you can figure out how to get to the other modes.
That took me a whole 5 seconds to look up on google.
hahah, I've been mightily entertained by this thread!!!
Nick, I posted a link to Daves' site in the 'Valuable Link Sharing' thread, where there are links to pretty much every decent theory site on the web!!!
Funny how, if you know what you're looking for, the answers are always fairly close to hand!
How long does it take to do a quick search, even just within these forums???
I have to admit to being slightly stunned at the coolness with which this has been handled, don't think I would have managed somehow!!!!

That would be the best way to resolve this, people would actually be able to hear what part of your arps need work then be able to advise accordingly!

What i take away from this thread is that there are some seriously WONDEFUL people here in this forum. I've always liked it here, but seeing EricV, Org and others go so far out of there way to help someone is, well, a lesson in itself. I would not have had the patience. But i think that after reading this thread the best lesson here was how to be a good musician second, and great person first.
    You guys ROCK.

Yes, i am also suprised by the seemingly unlimited amounts of patience and coolheadedness that many of the IBM's possess.
I am not one of them but i will keep my bickering and insults to myself.
I could never explain to anyone how to play the guitar especially not someone with the tenacity and ignorance of "brett".

Satch, I am more like you when it comes to teaching music. Its weird, i deal with patients all day and with them i have ALOT of patience. But when i tried to teach for a while i found myself very short and jumpy with people, so i stopped teaching. Some people have the gift to teach- and their usually great musicians too. It takes alot of perserverance and patience to be a great player- so maybe their onto something- I think i've gotta work on my 'tude.

One of the greatest learning tools is one that you make yourself...by doing some of the work to figure this stuff out, you can learn so much more than by having it handed to you simply by asking.
Have you figured out the major scale and all of its positions from 6th root and 5th root? If yes, then have you taken the modes and done this? If yes, than have you taken all major and minor chords and studied their inversions all over the fretboard? If yes, than have you applied this to dominant and augmented chords? Do you understand that augmented chords are symetrical, and what this means?
If any of these you answered "no" to, then you should start at this level.
And, why do you not answer our questions regarding what music you play, and if you have any examples to share? It is obvious you like classical...but in what context? SHARE and SHARE alike Brent.

Where is my graphs and charts on arpeggios please?
im trying to simply arpeggios for others that use this forum

    "augmented chords are symetrical"

Are u sure about that i thought augmented and diminished chord were Asymetical not symetrical

What do u mean by symetrical to what?

    Symetrical= even
Asymetical= odd uneven which is diminished and augmented chords or interval
    not resolving

How do u make a "Climax notes" with arpeggios i seen player Finger tap the Climax note it seems that the "Climax note" is a secondary domantant note or a borrowed note from a key higher

Mostly Yngwie using alot of borrowed notes which he substitutes notes in his arpeggios to change the shape, pattern to make variations

Yes, they have symmetry. Closely examine the intervals of each and you'll see why. Brett, your definition and understanding of sym/asym are incorrect.

I suggest starting another thread about climax notes.

I think there's enough information here to answer the fundamental questions originally asked.

EricV and ORG particularly have given exactly the information required.

In a strange way, brents style of questioning (or should I say interrogation ) aside, the thread has unearthed some gems of information.

So, I shall close the thread.

Biz points out perhaps where you're going to ask some new questions brent so feel free to start a new thread on those.

(with your climax notes query your walking into sweep taps territory which has come up before, check the search of forums, also Eric is about to embark on a series of articles re tapping which at some stage will no doubt include sweep taps, however, in the interim ask away....but nicely please )
