I've never been sure about this, and now really start to wonder how to play fingerpicked arpeggios with the left hand. Do you form a chord with your left hand and change chord every now and then, or do you play 1 note at a time, 1 finger from the left hand at a time, like you play scales ?

Although arpeggios are usually fingered like a scale, fingerpicking is an exception. Usually you'll just be grabbing chords and applying a fingering pattern (Travis picking etc.) to "arpeggiate" the chord. That's a lot of finger independence otherwise. (Not to say it can't be done I suppose...)

It depends on the thing you're playing. If there are seperate notes, play them seperately, like a scale. But if there's a let ring mark then let them bleed into each other
