Peacefull tune.

I've been wondering a bit about the ostinato term, and had it as repeated bass line / comp line. This was a good example of that.

LOL had to look up ostinato. Yes the bass line was what gave it that peaceful feel. I found the written text that came with it helpful. Specifically....

Repetition - then develop the phrase.
Breathing spaces between phrases.
Using a step (semi-tone or tone) then a skip wider than a 3rd. I'm finding this very effective and using the "white bread scale" that skip can land on any white key. The landing note gives a nice touch and then offers a new launching pad.
End most phrases on a chord tone, i.e. 3-5 or 1 - in our case E, G or C. Seems so logical, however, I neglected this before.
And then the way my old friend, the major pentatonic scale, was used.
