I'm trying to learn "When U Wish Upon A Star" as played by Ulf Wakenius (swedish jazz guitarist who has played with giants like Oscar Peterson...)
But within the first 30 seconds, he does something strange. He uses what is called flageolets in such a way that the guitar sounds like a harp or something. The problem is only I don't know excactly how he does it.
I've attached an mp3 so you can listen for your self, and if you could figure out what he does, it would mean a lot to me! :)

how to create this effect:

fret with your left hand as usual, hold pick between thumb and middlefinger and lightly touch ( at the same time ) the picked string 12 frets higher ( with your indexfinger ) than the frettednote.

have fun...

Those are called "harp harmonics". Check out my article about harmonics... http://www.ibreathemusic.com/play/article/38
