Dear members,

Season Greetings!!!

I want to know what are the important points to be remembered while singing?

When selecting a good singer ,What are the qualities that will be searched by a music director from a good singer?

Thanks in advance.

bye

I'm only a half-ok singer myself, so I won't offer any singing tips, but on selecting a singer, I'd say first thing to make sure is that they can sing in a proper sense. I ran into this one guy who thought he was a great singer because he could make himself sound like Curt Kobain. That's all well and good if that's the type of music you're playing, but the problem was he didn't really have any clue how to sing, just whine in key, so the band got locked into a very narrow set of songs.

ok, anyway, point of all this is that if a singer can sing well (like regular straight singing) and can do stylistic things to fit a particular style of music, that's the type of person you want.

:) hope that helps.
