Hello,

do you usually warm up, before playing?
I just play the chromatic scale from the lowest to the highest string pretty fast (for me) just to loosen my fingers a little bit.

But now I heard that it's important to warm up correctly because otherwise you could get bad injuries in your hands (even if you've been playing for years without any problems) which might be pretty difficult to get rid of completely.

Do you warm up? And how?

the following exercise is one of my favourites. ( powertabfile attached ).

it uses the following fingershape:

left hand : 3 1 2 4 1 3 4 2

right hand : alternate with pick and middle finger...

Alright, thanks a lot.
In the meantime I also read somewhere that it is a very good warm up just to strum some basic chords.
