anyone know of a good way to finger diatonic triads (I, ii, iii etc etc) other then just pounding out each one with fingers 1, 3 and 5? I have heard a lot of piano players just fly through these and I don't know how it's possible when just sticking with one fingering.

thanks.

An alternative to using 1-3-5 for everything is to alternate 1-3-5, 2-4-5. The thumb is fairly agile and the reuse of it on each chord isn't too problematic.

Another solution is to reduce the triad down to just 2 of the notes to form a diad, making it more managable for faster movement, and when the chords move with any degree of speed, the same effect will be achieved whether 2 notes are being played or 3.
