Hi everyone!

I've been focusing on all aspects of my playing and improving each but i really get stuck when it comes to improving my rhythm. I can't find any useful exercises on the web to help me so hoping someone here can point me in right direction. So far I've been using quarter notes, and missing out a beat then continuing (kinda like a funk syncopation) and been practicing strumming on the 2nd and 4th beats instead of 1st and 3rd. Been playing along to songs with the metronome too. Also been practicing playing different note groupings over a static 4/4 beat to see how each one sounds. Anyone else recommend anything?

Thanx in advance!

Keep up with you practicing with the metronome, keeping accuracy the best you can. There are also quite a few books out there on improving your rhythm reading.
Practice makes perfect at the end of the day tho :p

Here is a link to a book on Amazon

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1864693207/qid=1138356619/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl14/103-4369833-8206260?n=507846&s=books&v=glance

I have other books in this series, all are very good.
If the link doesn't work, try this one...

Try "The essential funk guitar guide" by Ross Bolton! An excellent book. You should get audio examples CD as well, it really helps a lot.
